Started in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the single TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer key from the current registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no special restrictions on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
